I had to take a break for a couple of day from writing. Also, I got invested on the project I said on Day 8 that I wanted to do during this Quarantine.
I could recap my the past 4 days but for the most part, it's been the same routine; go make coffee in the morning, workout, eat and sleep. Ill hit some major points that happened each day...
Day 9:
- The project idea I had on Day 8 was to create a feel good video with members of DEUCE Gym saying thank you to the coaches at the gym. Since I couldn't go to people's houses or meet them at a location (probably could have secretly but I would have been limited), so I drafted up instructions as best as I could on what and how the subject should be recording from there phones. Luckily, with a TV background, I was able to write up instructions but I thinking so fast and wanted to turn this around quick that I forgot some instructions. Luckily, I asked Taylor and he came to the rescue. However, even with instructions, there is a large room for error and the vision I have for this project. I'm not able to give them instruction or guidance in real time so I relied heavily on the people I asked. Thankfully, in the end, they nailed it, which I will get too soon.
- There is a group chat that was formed on Day 1 with the DEUCE Gym members and the coach we were assigned to. To keep things interesting, unintentionally, we added Taco Tuesday into the week.
Day 10:
- I had a video conference call with my colleagues and bosses. It was the first time I saw any of them since March 12th. Everyone seemed to be doing well. At the end of the call, one of my bosses told us to go learn a new skill, like playing a guitar.
- It was the 2nd day of working on the project and I told the people I reached out to record themselves and send their videos by Thursday. I maybe received 3 videos from the 19 people I asked at the end of Day 10.
- My DEUCE Gym group chat has implemented Wine Wednesday. I had two glasses of South End Cabernet Sauvignon (a wine from a local pizzeria) and went straight to bed afterwards.
Day 11:
- I got an email first thing in the morning from the producer I was working on Sports Emmys with at Fox during the month of January and February. He emailed the team noting that FOX Sports had 48 Emmy nominations, which was a new record for FOX Sports. What a way to start the day. I celebrated by going to In-N-Out and getting two 3x3 burgers, protein style.
- I worked out 3 different times.
- My DEUCE Gym has implemented Treat-Yo-Self Thursday. I went back to In-N-Out again and ate, a Double-Double, Cheeseburger and Animal Style Fries. I had a feeling that I wouldn't be feeling good the next day.
- Emails and texts started to flow back with the project. I heard back from 14 people at the end of the day. I was going to have Taylor edit the video but I was pretty restless and bored that I started to work on it on my own, which started from around 8:30 pm and ended around 12:30 am.
Day 12:
- I woke up around 6:00 am and made coffee before I started to edit more of the video for the project until about 12:00 pm. Before I finished it, I asked 3 friends, 2 of them that knew nothing about it, for their approval. Good thing I have friends that work in the TV industry.
- I FaceTimed my friend, Jennifer. We both had the same color hoodie on. We laughed pretty hard about it.
- I posted the video, "Thank You, DEUCE", on my Instagram Account.
- I went over to DEUCE Gym to pick up something and talked to Logan for a brief moment about life and business.
- The Mayor of Los Angeles put an order to close all beaches, beach access, beach bike paths, public trails and trail-head in all of Los Angeles County.
- I FaceTimed my friend, Rafael. I guess we are doing another hero WOD on Sunday around 1:00 pm PT.
So far only 8 views on this blog, but who's counting right? Also, who wants to read about another person's life during this pandemic.
I'll still keep it going. It might get sporadic, however.
Let's see what Day 13 brings us.
